Many people work very hard to have fair and flawless skin. Dark and dull skin can be caused by overexposure to the sun, environmental pollution, or a medical condition. The market has many skin-lightening creams and lotions. But many of those products have harmful chemicals that will damage your skin. You can save yourself money by using natural remedies that will brighten and lighten your skin complexion.

1. Yogurt.
Yogurt has many nutrients that are great for the skin. It also has lactic acid with bleaching properties. Gently rub yogurt on your skin. Leave it for a couple of minutes and then wash it off with warm water. If you do this once a day for several weeks, you will notice a tremendous change in your complexion. You can also add lemon juice and oatmeal to yogurt to make it into a thick paste. Apply this as a face mask. This will keep your skin supple and moisturized.

2. Oranges.
The best ingredient in skin care is vitamin C. You can get a lot of this vitamin from oranges. Oranges also have bleaching properties that can lighten your skin tone.
Combine two tablespoons of orange juice and a little bit of powdered turmeric. Rub this mixture on your face and neck before you go to bed. Then wash it off after 20 to 30 minutes.

3. Gram Flour.
Gram flour is considered to be one of the best remedy for those who wish to lighten their skin complexion. It contains different nutrients that will help keep your skin healthy. Mix some gram flour with a small amount of water to make a thick paste. Then apply it to your face, hands, and legs. Leave it on until the paste dries and then wash it off with warm water.

4. Honey.
Honey will bleach your skin and also act as a moisturizing agent. It has anti-bacterial properties that will help fade age spots and acne scars. Just apply pure honey to your face. Leave it on for about 3 minutes and then wash it off with warm water. This easy remedy will remove dead skin cells and make your skin appear brighter and fresher.

5. Lemons.
The acidic properties that are in lemons acts like a natural bleaching agent for the skin. The huge amount of vitamin C in them also encourages new cell growth. Lemons have anti-oxidants that are excellent for skin complexion. Dip a cotton ball in some freshly squeezed lemon juice and put it directly on your face. Leave it on for about an hour and then wash your face with warm water. This simple remedy will lighten your skin complexion.

6. Aloe Vera Gel.
Aloe vera can get rid of hyper-pigmentation. This will restore your skin’s original color. Hyper-pigmentation is the main cause of uneven skin tone. The cooling effect of aloe vera will also help regenerate new cells. This is very important for healthy skin. Cut out the outer layers of an aloe vera leaf. Then squeeze out the thick, jelly-like substance and apply this on your skin. Leave it on for about 40 minutes, and then wash it off with warm water.

7. Papaya.
Papaya can also be used to lighten your skin complexion. Papaya contains natural bleaching properties. Also, the various nutrients in it will make your skin glow with health. Scrub the inner part of the skin of a papaya on your face. Let it dry, and then wash your face with cold water. This will give your skin a great glow.

8. Cucumber.
Cucumber will ensure that your skin is firm as well as supple. It also has a fantastic cooling effect on your skin. Just place cucumber slices directly on the dark skin areas. Leave them on for about 5 minutes, and then remove them and rinse your skin with warm water.

If you follow these natural remedies, you will lighten your skin complexion. They are very effective but will take time and patience to achieve your goal.
